An Empirical Study on Unbalanced Development of Compulsory Education in Beijing

The paper focuses on the compulsory education in Beijing in urban2rural and regional aspects. It indicates the compulsory education in Beijing is characterized as unbalanced , because big gaps exist between urban and rural areas , as well as different geographical regions in terms of household education expenditure , pupil outlay input and campus facilities ; there are also big gaps on teacherps quality between regions. To conclude , we give some suggestions on policies.
